The Hyoid Bone

Hyoid Bone –  Zaban ki Jar ki Hadi (زبان کی جڑ کی ہڈی) is a U-shaped bone in front of the neck, which helps in swallowing and with speech.

Apart from this, human bones also contain soft bones, namely cartilage and bone marrow, which is present in the center of most of the bones. The process of making blood cells, also called hemopoiesis, is carried out in the bone marrow. In children, it occurs in the long bones, for example, the thighbone (femur). In adults, it takes place in the spinal cord, hips, ribs, skull, and sternum (the breastbone).
