In a new round of high-seas confrontations with Sanpao and his pirates, Ma teams up with a navy admiral (Hak Suen Lau), a police captain Tzu (Biao Yuen), and a cunning thief (Sammo Hung Kam-Bo).

Project A is a 1983 Hong Kong martial arts action comedy film with Jackie Chan in the lead role. It is also known as Jackie Chan’s Project A, Edward Tang and Jackie Chan co-wrote the screenplay, and Leonard Ho and Raymond Chow served as the film’s producers. Yuen Biao and Sammo Hung also appear in the movie.

In East Asia, the movie enjoyed success at the box office. Chan garnered two nominations for the movie at the 4th Hong Kong Film Awards, including his first nomination for Best Actor. He also took home the prize for Best Action Choreography. Project A Part II, the follow-up, was published in 1987.
