1. សូមអបអរសាទរ (Soum Ab Orsatou)

The first word we learn when you want to say Congratulations in Khmer is សូមអបអរសាទរ (Saum Abaarsator). This is the most common way to congratulate someone in the Cambodian language that you’ll often hear from the locals. The expression “Good job!” ធ្វើបានល្អ (Thveu Ban L’or) is also one of the most common ways to say Congratulations in Khmer. This is praise you give to someone who did a great job on a task or job. As kids, we often see it in our papers when we got high scores in tests or activities. We can also hear this being said by our parents when we successfully did a task.
4. ប្រសើរណាស់ (Prasaeu Nas)
English Translation: Well done!
They said that the reward for a job well done is the opportunity to do more. When we say, “Well done!” ប្រសើរណាស់ (Prasaeu Nas) to people who did a great job, it will inspire and motivate them to do more. They will find a reason to continue what they are doing because their efforts are being recognized.
5. អ្នកធ្វើបានហើយ! (Neak Thveu Ban Haeuy!)
English Translation: You did it!
Complimenting is another way of congratulating someone. When you say, “You did it.” អ្នកបានហើយ! (Neak Thveu Ban Haeuy!), you are actually congratulating someone’s success in doing something. 6. សូមជូនពរឱ្យសំណាងល្អគ្រប់កិច្ចការ (Soum Chun Po Aoy Samnang L’or Krob Kechka)
