The Vietnamese language is an Austroasiatic language, meaning that it’s part of the Mainland Southeast Asia and South Asian language family.
It’s important to remember that Chinese and French have had a significant influence on the Vietnamese language due to the history of the country. So, if you’re already familiar with Chinese or French, you might want to consider learning Vietnamese next, or vice versa!
